We Have a Cover People!!!

This moment feels like it has been a lifetime in the making. From writing shitty fanfictions of my favorite Tamora Pierce books as a kid, to writing on summer and winter breaks in college, to working 60+ hours a week and using my only day off to write, this moment has been long in the making.

This is the third full book I have written, and it is the only one of the three that will ever see the light of day. The other two books were amazing learning experiences, and a few pieces of them have made their way into this story, but ultimately, this is the book of my heart, and these characters simply would not leave me alone until I gave them their own book. And after years of fitting in writing on weekends and early mornings before work, we are here.

One decision to choose myself and my book over making my book marketable to the current publishing expectations. I have something to say, and characters who are screaming to be heard. And together we are gonna burn it all down (me figuratively, them actually).

So here we are, on the precipice of something huge and life-changing for me. Seeing my cover for the first time was the moment when everything became very very real.

As I told my cover artist, when I received this cover I screamed, threw my phone across the room, and did a violent little happy dance. Let us all be grateful I was alone. I promise no phones or ears were damaged.

This cover fits the vibe of Vicious Miscreations so well! It has the gritty, glowy vibe, but also the crumbling, creepy fantasy vibe and I could just cry, to be honest. I love it so much! I am already so freaking excited to have the real book in my hand!
